Research

I am studying Sedimentary Geology.  My research focusses on characterization of the Cambrian Eau Claire Shale across Kentucky and its use as caprock for sequestration of CO2 into the Mount Simon Sandstone reservoir below the Eau Claire.  I am incorporating geochemical analyses, geophysical log data, sparsely available core samples, and detailed regional mapping and correlations to better understand the Eau Claire, its depositional environments, and it's caprock potential.
